The years Camp Tukido will be held at Wiston Lodge, South Lanarkshire ML12 6HT. It is 40 miles from Glasgow and to travel there take the M74 to exit 11 (Happendon Services) then follow the A70 towards Edinburgh through Rigside Village. Turn right at the top of the hill towards Wiston on the B7055. Wiston Lodge is 5 Miles down the road on the left hand side beside the school.
All those who need directions to the Camp are requested to make arrangements, in advance, with their instructor. The course commences onWednesday 1st July and finishes on Sunday 5th July. Cabins are available on a first come first served basis (on payment of full fee of £130) with bed linen provided, otherwise you mustprovide your own camping equipment.
Please note that caravans, Caravanettes etc. are prohibited. All members are required to arrive and build their own tent, check into cabin by 6pm on Wednesday 1st July and vacate the camp by 10am on Sunday 5th July at the latest, leaving the site clean and tidy. Since the organizer can accept NO responsibility for any member’s personal effects, it is advisable to insure them against loss or damage.
The Camp is open to all grades. Each student may bring one guest, or a family member at the discretion of the Chief Instructor. The Camp fees which include training fees are £130 per student and £65 per guest. Flying Side Kick and Sparring Form competitions will be held on the training field, with a competition entry fee of £12.
A non-refundable deposit of £40 along with a Camp form (blue form) must be submitted to your instructor no later than Thursday 28th November in order to secure our booking with Wiston Lodge. The balance of £90 will be due by Friday 1st May 2020.
Please note: All competitions may be cancelled if conditions are unsuitable for the events. The Camp will be 3 days of intensive training, so there should be a marked improvement in the standard of those participating. Consequently, members who wish to apply for the grading at the end of the Camp may do so, providing their attendance and standard throughout the course has been satisfactory and they have a minimum of 6 training sessions prior to the Camp. If you intend to apply for the grading, you should bring with you one passport sized photograph, UKTC numberand the Grading fee. The schedule for the Camp will be as follows:
ALL PROGRAMMES AND TIMESARE SUBJECT TO ALTERATION No consumption of alcoholic beverages will be permitted during the course or in the camp. All members, families and guests are to be in the camp by 11.30 p.m. and in their own tents with lights out by 12 midnight. The hours not occupied by training or activities will be regarded as FREE HOURS, during which games or other activities maybe arranged by the members. Musical instruments may be brought. NO one will be permitted to leave before the camp site has been fully cleaned on Sunday 5th July. All camp participants must obtain a copy of the Camp rules and regulations from their Instructor. Please note that the rules and regulations also apply to guests.
